SoundCloud is fighting its way back with a distribution service – giving music makers the ability to upload their CHOOONZ to platform such as Spotify… Ya FUCKING herrrrrd!

SoundCloud Premier’s new distribution service allows SoundCloud Pro and Pro Unlimited users to have their tracks distributed directly to Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Instagram, Amazon Music and other platforms as part of their subscription fee … (yes that’s correct if your already a pro or pro unlimited user your sorted) – and it is now in public beta.

These days digital distributors will typically take a cut, SoundCloud are claiming users will keep ALL  100% of their rights and ALL 100% of their distribution royalties from third-party services with no additional cost…  If they aren’t taking anything away from the artist, then why the fuck would they do it? Nowts for free right? I think this could SoundClouds attempt to sign more subscriptions by offering this feature, which are currently set at £5 & £10 a month – again just my thoughts…

Now before we all start wanking over this there are a few criterias that need to be met… Users must have a Pro or Pro Unlimited account, deffo have no copyright strikes – and whilst on that subject own all the rights to the music and receive at least 1000 plays a month in soundcloud active regions…

Will be interesting to see how this pans out – clearly it’s a great idea but are they too late? Will they keep their word regarding 100% royalties? Will their famous copyright detector analyzer thing loose its chips over the amount of upload attempts? Will my hair ever grow back? Who knows… who knows…

Have a gander at the promo vid below…
